Update from IRAD - April Evening Meeting
Be sure to join us this Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N Grove, Elgin, IL at 7:00pm.
Our speaker will be Karl Moore, supervisor of the Illinois Regional Archives Depositories (IRAD). He will inform regarding the holding at IRAD and help us with navigating the new website. It is always a pleasure to have Karl with us.
Anyone doing research on Illinois ancestors will want to be sure to attend this meeting. You'd be surprised at the treasures you can find at IRAD!

Death in EGS family
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of EGS member Janet Poyner. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 pm on Thursday April 12 at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Chapel in Elgin. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday April 13 at St. Mary Church in Elgin. The society sends it condolences to Janet's family.
